Rosemary Fowler was born to an up-and-coming journalist father, New Yorker Benjamin Fowler, and housewife Monica de Klerk, whose parents were 1st gen. immigrants from Italy and South Africa respectively. As such, her childhood home was a vibrant and warm place, often bustling with numerous family members, close friends, and work colleagues of her father’s.As a child, she spoke predominantly English and Italian at home although she did become well-versed in Afrikaans as she grew.As the oldest of 5 children, Rosie was a bossy young girl, who kept her siblings out of mischief whilst trying all possible opportunities to shadow her father at work.

There was nothing the girl loved more than sitting silently in the corner of her father’s office as journalists and publishers fed the frenzy of current political affairs and pop culture.As the news of Kennedy’s assassination broke, the Fowler patriarch was sitting in the CBS newsroom as Walter Cronkite recorded his famous bulletin… and 15-year-old Rosie was sat right by his side.In college, she organized the school newspaper The New York Youth for 2 years before graduating and starting as a journalist in her father’s office.

However, after a number of years, father and daughter began to disagree heavily on which stories to cover – Rosie wanted to focus on mob rivalries that were rife in the region, whilst Benjamin focused his attention more on foreign affairs and the global political scene. After a few months of heated arguments, at work and at home, Benjamin sat Rosie down and suggested a change of scene.He’d heard from some former colleagues who had moved north to Boston that gang tensions had been growing exponentially in the last decade. An old friend suggested that Rosie move up north and look into working undercover in the city, to get the latest scope of the situation. The 25 year old agreed in a heartbeat.

So, in 1973, the young woman arrived in Boston, with a new name and a new life. Taking her mother’s maiden name, and changing her name to an Italian variation, Rosie looked to find her way into the undercover world of the Boston mafia syndicates. She put her Italian heritage to good use and garnered a job as a barmaid at the local social club, run and frequented by members of the Italian mafia family within the city.As of now, she has lived in the city for 2 years, still working full time at the club. She also takes night classes, studying finances, under the cover that she aims to eventually work as an accountant. She lives with her “uncle” Johnny Groebler, her father’s former colleague who’d introduced the city to Rosie originally.

1970s boston is no place for a broad from the big apple. certainly not one who has freshly graduated from NYU in journalism, and has taken on a new role as an investigative journalist for the new york times, specialising in organized crime. yet here rosie is, playing the part of sweet, innocent rosalia ... while gaining all information she can on the mafia underworld of the city.

the battle in the whispering wood house klerk joins the manderly forces heading south to join robb stark against the lannisters. the young lord willam leds his men, leaving rose and their younger siblings behind to maintain the castle. he is invited to join robb’s battle guard, which he accepts, and fights alongside the king of the north during this battle. willam survives with little injuries. his cousin robin flint is also a member of the personal guard.
the red wedding lord willam was amongst the wedding guests at the twins, although he was not on duty guarding king robb. as the freys begin their betrayal against the starks, willam is originally protected by his cousin, but after robin is stabbed repeatedly by frey men, willam is cornered and slain himself. rose is appointed as lady regent of whitstone under her next brother, arthor turns of age - the eldest of the twins, they are 12 at the time of the red wedding.
travelling to winterfell in mid-300AC, lady rose and her siblings travel alongside lord wyman manderly to winterfell, to pledge their (reluctant) alliegance to house bolton, and to witness the marriage between ramsey and ‘arya stark’.

ROSE'S FAMILY the late lord robard klerk was blessed with many beautiful daughters yet failed to have a son reach past infancy. as such, upon his death in 274 AC, the ruling of whitstone and house klerk was passed to his eldest unwed daughter, the lady myriam. she was just shy of her 14th nameday when she became lady of the house. her mother, lady violet (formerly of house mallister), arranged a matrilineal marriage to ser benjen flint, the second son to the lord flint of widow's watch.rosie was the firstborn, in 278 AC, and quickly followed by her brother willam, now the heir to house klerk. in total, lady myriam birthed 5 children; the last of whom were twins and unfortunately led to her demise. as the eldest daughter, lady rose klerk was betrothed to the heir to torrhen's square, benfred tallhart.
